At Trinity International Church of Strasbourg,
we welcome you to join us for worship at any time. We recognize that
it can be a bit intimidating coming into a church service for the
very first time; To make it easier, this page gives you some idea of
what to expect at Trinity.

Before Service
To begin with, you need to know where we are.
Here's a convenient map with
directions.
When you enter the
church building, one of our greeters will welcome you. You may hear
a mix of languages being spoken; however, our services are in the
English language with
simultaneous
translation available via headsets. (English to French or German) If you would like this, please
just mention it to one of the greeters as you enter.
You may sit anywhere, no seats
are reserved. If you arrive early please feel free to help yourself
to a cup of coffee. Should you need the
"facilities", restrooms are located through the door on the
right-hand side at the bottom of the staircase.
We encourage people to bring a Bible if they have one. If not,
Bibles in English, French and German are provided prior to the message
for your convenience.
What should you
wear? At Trinity you will be comfortable in anything from jeans to
suits, dresses to shorts. Dress as you
feel comfortable, we're just glad to have you join us!
During Service
Our service begins with our
worship team leading us through a time of singing a mix of
contemporary worship songs and traditional hymns. You may also
observe people clapping their hands, raising their hands and
sometimes kneeling. These are Biblical expressions of
worship to God. We don't expect you to know the songs, so the words
are projected in the front of the church. If you don't know the
tune, just listen and join in when you are ready. You are welcome to
stand, or if you prefer, to remain seated during this time.
After the music, we will mention a few announcements, This is
also when we take up the offering. It you are a visitor, you are not
expected to put money in the offering. You are our guest. Those who
consider Trinity their home church contribute to the effort of the
church.
At this time
Pastor Henry Paasonen will share an encouraging message from the
Bible.
One Sunday a month we'll share in the celebration of the Lord's
Supper. If you're a follower of Jesus you're invited to join
in, or you can sit back and enjoy the music. If you are unsure of
the meaning of the Lord's Supper, feel free to ask the pastor, or
the person who greeted you at the door and we will gladly explain it
to you.
What about my Children?
Children remain with their parents during our
time of singing. After the singing they are invited to participate
in children's church which will include a Bible lesson, craft or
supervised play. This is located upstairs and the children follow the teacher out of the service to the classroom. Parents are welcome to bring
their child upstairs and remain as long as needed to to ensure that
your child feels comfortable.
After Service
Following worship everyone is invited for refreshments. Pastor Henry
is available to meet with anyone who would like to follow-up on the
sermon. This is a good time to
ask questions and go over the
basics of the Christian faith.
One time a month we share in a 'pot
luck' meal together following the service.
We hope you'll
stop by for a visit and, if you do, please come up and say "hello"
to the pastor. We'd love to meet you. It is our desire that one way
or another you may find a meaningful and transforming connection
with God. And perhaps you may even find a spiritual home that works
well for you!
